Our initial goal is to relieve your pain as soon as possible. We start with more frequent treatments to expedite the healing process and alleviate your symptoms.
Does your pain…
- Make daily tasks and activities feel exhausting?
- Leave you feeling irritable, depressed, angry, stressed, and anxious?
- Keep you from exercising and sleeping well?
- Cause you to miss out on work, family time, or important life events?
It doesn’t have to be this way.
Pain isn’t just a physical annoyance – it can stop you in your tracks, keep you from doing the things you love, and rob you of your joy. If you feel like your life has been put on hold because of your pain, it’s time to get help with acupuncture.
Acupuncture stops your pain and restores your body to its full potential.
Acupuncture is a gentle therapy that targets both the symptoms and underlying causes of pain. It helps to harmonize the body, reduce your pain and discomfort and help to regulate the other issues associated with your condition.

FAQ: Long Beach Specialty Acupuncture for Pain
What kinds of pain conditions can acupuncture treat?
Our Specialty is treating pain of all types. Acupuncture can reduce local pain, reduce swelling, reduce nerve irritation and help the body heal without using medications or invasive procedures.
How many acupuncture treatments will I need to get pain relief?
It depends on many factors, such as how severe your pain is, how long it has been going, how constant it is, and your medical history. Most patients will see some sort of relief between 1-4 acupuncture sessions, while more serious conditions sometimes take longer.
What should I expect at my first pain relief acupuncture visit?
I will go through many things with you on your first session. I will evaluate your medical history, the history of your current condition, do a postural evaluation, and we will set a baseline for where you are starting from today. I will do a consultation and treatment at the time of the first session.
Do you accept insurance?
Yes, we accept most PPO insurance policies. Click here to verify your benefits at no cost or obligation.
Does acupuncture hurt?
No, acupuncture is not meant to be painful. You may feel some of the needles upon insertion, but the sensation usually subsides afterward. I only use high-quality needles and gentle techniques. I will make sure that you are comfortable throughout the entire process.
Do you do dry needling?
I practice an Orthopedic style of acupuncture that is very similar to dry needling. I focus on the Traditional Acupuncture points that treat the ‘root’ of the problem and I also assess the issue from a musculoskeletal point of view to pinpoint muscle imbalances in the local areas. I then work on both the Traditional Acupuncture theories for your disharmony and the muscles/structures that are involved in the pain that you are experiencing. I see better results for my patients when I work in this manner. My Specialized training as a Certified Sports Medicine Acupuncturist has given me the knowledge to do this style of work, it is not taught in Acupuncture schools.
Can acupuncture help me specifically?
Acupuncture isn’t guaranteed. Individual results will vary. No guarantee of specific results is warranted or implied and your results will depend on many factors. Read Full Disclaimer.
