We start with an initial consultation to get to know your symptoms, medical history, and the big picture of your health.
Who’s running your life: you or your emotions?
When stress, anxiety, or depression run the show, you don’t feel – or act – like yourself anymore. Does doing everyday things feel impossible?
- Does worry and stress leave you exhausted?
- Have you noticed pain, nausea, migraines, or other physical symptoms of stress?
- Do you lack the energy and motivation to do even everyday activities?
- Have you isolated yourself, or stopped doing the things you enjoy?
You don’t have to feel this way forever.
Stress causes your nervous system to become overactive, and sometimes it can remain in that state. Acupuncture helps return your nervous system to a state of calm, stimulates your ‘feel-good’ hormones, and reduces the physical symptoms that accompany stress, anxiety, and depression.
We’re here to help you manage your emotions in a way that works for you and not against you.

What Our Patients Say
“The vibe was very relaxing and made me feel at ease.”
“Melani was very attentive and easy to talk to, and very nice as well. She actually listened and understood what I was saying and didn’t just dismiss everything like most doctors do. The vibe was very relaxing and made me feel at ease. I’ve had acupuncture done in the past but I was usually nervous before and during. But this time I felt comfortable throughout the appointment. Her talking to me while putting the needles in definitely helped. I felt great once I was done and already scheduled my next visit 🙌”

“Dr.Melani it’s the best in the ACUPUNCTURE world! every session , at the beginning of it , she takes the time to ask all these questions to see what’s the most important to heal/cure right the way , to ease her patients pain , and to have them taken out of the misery of pain. I have problems with my anxiety and stomach for quite some time , but ever since going to her , most of it has been eased and more manageable! Thank you for your kind care and service.”
Crisanta D.
“I felt the most relaxed all week in the appointment.”
“Went to Melani and team this afternoon for my first (of many) acupuncture sessions to handle my stress and anxiety. Sarah in reception was absolutely wonderful and welcoming upon arrival and Melani made me feel so comfortable during the appointment. I was a bit hesitant coming in about the needles, but Melani is an artist. I felt NOTHING. I felt the most relaxed all week in the appointment. Highly recommend Melani and team!”

How many acupuncture treatments will I need to get Stress/Anxiety/Depression relief?
Every person and situation is different, so the total number of treatments varies. I take many things into consideration when assessing the total number of treatments such as: medical history, severity and frequency of your symptoms, and your current quality of life. After your initial consultation, you’ll receive a personalized Plan of Care with a recommended frequency and an estimated number of sessions needed.
You could experience results as soon as your first treatment, or it can take a few sessions to feel a difference. Either way is considered a normal response.
How does acupuncture work to improve my Stress/Anxiety/Depression?
Acupuncture works by balancing neurotransmitters, reducing stress hormones, calming the nervous system, and helping you manage your emotions in a healthy way. In Chinese Medicine, we believe that the mind & body are intricately connected together and that your emotions impact your body and your physical ailments can cause disharmony with your emotions.
What should I expect at my first acupuncture visit?
I will go through your detailed medical history with you, assess where your current condition is at right now, and establish your treatment goals. Then, you will relax for an acupuncture treatment. I will explain the entire process as I go and make sure that you are as comfortable as possible. It is a relaxing and calming experience with calm music, a beautiful, clean atmosphere, and a safe healing space.
Does acupuncture hurt?
No, acupuncture is not meant to be painful. You may feel some of the needles upon insertion, but any sensation usually subsides afterward. I only use high-quality needles and gentle techniques. I will make sure that you are comfortable throughout the entire process.
Can I still take my prescribed medications and/or still go to therapy?
Yes, acupuncture is safe to have while having to take medications that you were prescribed by another practitioner. It can complement many other modalities of healing that you are already doing, in order to help you get results. Therapy is an important part of dealing with many things in our lives, and we receive many patient referrals from various therapists in our area.
Can acupuncture help me specifically?
Acupuncture isn’t guaranteed. Individual results will vary. No guarantee of specific results is warranted or implied and your results will depend on many factors. Read Full Disclaimer.
