Not only does acupuncture help your body heal itself but it also is a very relaxing experience.

I realize that I sound like a crazy person when I tell people that inserting needles is very relaxing….but it’s true!

As acupuncture needles are inserted, endorphins are released. Endorphins are polypeptides that help reduce pain and also boost your mood.

The needles are inserted gently and proficiently.

Our medical services are provided with care and compassion and your concerns are always taken seriously.

We will answer any questions that you  may have and we will do everything in our power to provide you with fast and effective natural healing.

Our patients leave our office after a treatment feeling relaxed, calm and happy that they came in!

1.) Try taking a short walk after lunch. Not only will it help with digestion (peristalsis) but it will also get you up and moving!
2.) Consider getting a standing workstation if this is an option. Most of these are adjustable and can be used sitting as well, but also have the standing option. That way you stretch those poor hip flexors!

3.) Drink plenty of water while working and take breaks to refill your water. Not only will you stay hydrated but you will get some movement from all of the re-filling and having to use the restroom!

4.) Take a short break to take a few deep breaths. Deep breathing decreases stress, lowers blood pressure, increases energy, reduces anxiety and the list goes on!

5.) Take a few stretch breaks to break the sitting cycle. A forward fold with knees bent or straightened – is one that I enjoy doing! If you bend your knees, its more of a back stretch and if you straighten them it is more of a hamstring stretch.
I hope these little tips can help you if you are sitting for prolonged periods of time!

Small changes and habits can lead to much bigger ones over time.

Try adding in 2-3 of these changes and see how you are feeling.

𝟑 𝑺𝒊𝒎𝒑𝒍𝒆 𝑺𝒕𝒆𝒑𝒔 𝑻𝒐 𝑰𝒎𝒑𝒓𝒐𝒗𝒆 𝒀𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝑰𝒎𝒎𝒖𝒏𝒆 𝑺𝒚𝒔𝒕𝒆𝒎
I am all about keeping things simple and easy and here are 3 ways to improve your immune system:
1.) 𝗟𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗟𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹: Try to figure out what works best for helping you to lower your stress levels. Try guided meditation, yoga, acupuncture/herbs, exercise, deep breathing, etc. Increased stress levels have been shown to lower our immune system. In Chinese Medicine we have many ways to help patients manage their stress levels through acupuncture, herbs and lifestyle changes.

2.) 𝗥𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗲 𝗔𝗱𝗱𝗲𝗱 𝗦𝘂𝗴𝗮𝗿 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲: Sugar spikes have been shown to lower your immune system by reducing the ability of your white blood cell function- which are important to fight off illnesses. These effects can last up to 5 hours after consumption!
3.) 𝗚𝗲𝘁 𝗘𝗻𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝘁: For sleep, it also depends on the person as far as how many hours that you need. Anywhere from 6-10 hours of sleep per night are needed. Now, if you sleep and don’t feel like you did, that can be considered a form of insomnia as well. You need restful sleep, in order to help keep your immune system strong. Acupuncture and herbs also offer a natural way to increase your quality of sleep, if this is an issue for you. If your pain is keeping you up at night, we can also help with that too!

I suggest starting with one thing first, making small changes, see how you are feeling and continue to make positive changes for your health.  For example, cutting out sugar may seem crazy! So why not start with cutting out drinking sodas or by only having that dessert 1x a week instead of 3x.

Our office also has a wide variety of vitamins/supplements for supplementing and strengthening the immune system if that is what you need.

Are you trying to avoid having to take prescription pain medications?

We get it! Not everyone wants to take pain medications for their pain.

A majority of our patients don’t want to take them either.

So, they have chosen another way to  help their bodies heal, in order to reduce their pain, their inflammation and to restore proper active range of motion in affected joints.

Acupuncture and herbs are a natural, safe way to help the body heal.

You have to commit to series of sessions to see the best results, because the body works in a slower fashion and needs consistent help to heal the body on its own.

This is a normal process for the body as it heals us all of the time! Whether it’s a scratch, recovering from a cold, recovering from a surgery- it is always doing its job of helping restore our bodies.

Sometimes, it just needs a little help and guidance.

What we do, is work to get you feeling better as fast as possible, so that you can stop coming in for treatment after you feel better, get on a Maintenance treatment schedule and then send over your friends/family that need our help.

We don’t want to have you coming in forever to heal your body for the same condition- even though we love seeing all of your faces! haha

If you are wanting to help your body heal in a more natural way- then click on this link to contact our office to schedule an appointment for you.

𝑨𝒓𝒆 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒄𝒖𝒓𝒊𝒐𝒖𝒔 𝒂𝒔 𝒕𝒐 𝒉𝒐𝒘 𝒇𝒂𝒔𝒕 𝒊𝒕 𝒘𝒊𝒍𝒍 𝒕𝒂𝒌𝒆 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝒚𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒃𝒐𝒅𝒚 𝒕𝒐 𝒉𝒆𝒂𝒍?

I get asked this question quite a bit but it completely depends on the situation at hand!

At the end of your first session with us, you will be given a Customized Treatment Plan for your specific condition with an approximate number of sessions.

Generally speaking, if you have something that is chronic or bothering you for a long time, then it may take a little longer to heal- but that’s not always the case.

If you have something that just started bothering you- it may be quicker for your body to heal.

Everyone’s bodies are very different and how we all heal is no exception.

I have some patients that I would anticipate taking some time to heal, but then their body surprises me and its much faster than anticipated.

The body has its own timetable that it heals us on.

Unfortunately, we can’t control this healing process but with acupuncture, we can help it along, help guide it and move it further along!

Sometimes, the body just needs guidance and direction and then it can finish the job for you.

As an Acupuncturist, we are utilizing your body’s own healing properties to heal, we are not injecting anything foreign into the body. – Some patients ask this question as well, so I want to clarify!

If you want to use your body’s healing abilities to help you with pain, discomfort, headaches/migraines, stress relief or digestive issues, then click this link to contact us to request a Free Consultation.

The pain started- you thought it would go away but it never did, and in fact- it is getting worse.

You are putting up with it but it’s getting harder and harder to manage.

You can no longer do your normal daily activities and you can’t sleep because the pain keeps waking you up.

Does this sound familiar?

If it does, we are here for you!

Not all pain goes away on its own, as we all know!

We are here to help reduce your pain and inflammation and to get you feeling back to normal by utilizing acupuncture to help your body heal itself!
