This entire quote is, โ€œOne of the symptoms of approaching nervous breakdown is the belief that oneโ€™s work is terribly important and that to take a holiday would bring all kinds of disaster. If I were a medical man, I should prescribe a holiday to any patient who considered his work important.โ€

I would also agree with this advice.

We can’t let our happiness and self-care go down the drain when we are preoccupied with everyday life.

Right now, we are limited in the capacity of travel or vacation but that does not mean that you can’t use this time to regenerate your self and self-care habits.

Take the time to sip a cup of coffee outside, watch the beautiful sunset, cook a delicious dinner or finally take care of that pesky knee pain or digestive issue that has been bothering you.

Putting off pain and medical issues is also a form of neglecting self-care.

In Chinese Medicine we focus a lot on preventative measures and on reducing symptoms associated with various medical conditions by using only natural healthcare practices.

If you have been trying to ignore the pain, now is the time to address the issue before it gets worse.
